If you don't see a log file, would you be willing and able to do a little sleuthing? If so, I need you to open a Terminal window. You can launch Terminal from /Applications/Utilities (or search for it using Spotlight).
Once Terminal is open, inside the Terminal window, please type in the following and press Enter:
If you could tell us what it says in response, that is a start.
Thanks in advance for your assistance, and sorry for the inconvenience.

Thanks for sending in your log file. The primary issue on your machine is that we're experiencing a client-side database exception that is preventing younity from 'seeing' any of your metadata. You are one of a few people suffering from the same problem, though we cannot currently determine why it's happening to you and not to others.
We are investigating further, and obviously would like to release a fix for it as soon as possible. For now, though, younity will not work for you.
Obviously, we wish that were not the case. If you're willing to give us another chance, we will let you know when a new release is available, and we hope you will give it a try.
Thanks for all your help and we hope to make you a satisfied customer soon.
